theusername Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Greetings to whom will answer this I attempted to port forward today, I have -NetComm NB5 Modem-Windows Xp sp2-Using Utorrent 1.6-Im pretty sure i shouldnt have to post my computer specs?-Tried dissableing firewall-Tried Various PortsAnyway, i followed the guide at portforward.com/routers.htm and then did the utorrents http://www.utorrent.com:16000/testport2.php?port=53822, is this port open thing. and got the red icon saying error. I Have tried multiple different ports, so it aint the port themselfs that are being the problem. So i did some googling and came across another port forward check site thing.https://www.grc.com/x/portprobe=53822 and it said stealthso i tried another porthttps://www.grc.com/x/portprobe=63221checked it. got CLOSED as i expected. then i forwarded the port as the tutorial stated. After that i checked it again and got "Stealth" immediatly after i forwarded it.apparently this means firewall or something is blocking it. I disabled the firewall etc. I have done most things a normal person would attempt and i just cant open my ports, i have made my "static IP address"I am out of ideas so i thought i would get the brains of the internet to help me out -Thank you in advanceBig ammounts of text is just so you know most things i have done and so you dont waist your time saying to do things i have done. thank you again (dont knock my grammar it is not exactly my strong point )
Ultima Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 What firewall are you using? Have you tried uninstalling it? Disabling it won't help, as it remains hooked onto the system even when the GUI is disabled.
theusername Posted October 14, 2007 Author Report Posted October 14, 2007 The all mighty Windows Firewall xD
