help invalid menu handle

i have been using utorrent for a while but run out of hard disk space so i have bought a new external hard drive. i am a computer know-nuthin please help

utorrent runs up fine!

i type in the search fine!

but when i try to download the torrent an error flashes up:

a file location followed by invalid menu handle

any help much appreciated as i have no idea what to do!

oh! i just downloaded the new vwersion of utorrent if that helps!!!

Most likely an association issue.

A search for "Invalid Menu Handle" reveals dozens of hits that all point at http://utorrent.com/faq.php#.C2.B5Torrent_won.27t_open_torrent_files_even_though_I_associated_torrents_with_it

i looked at the link and tried renistalling utorrent and IE but it still doesnt work

what is an association problem?
