solitude55
Hi, I recently downloaded utorrent and have downloaded about 10GB data but i noticed a while back my Hard drive is suddenly 90% full (I have a 80GB drive) while only 20GB data is visible on the drive.Could this be because of utorrent? If anyone has any solution to this problem please do help me out. BTW i am using Vista Business. Thanks
Firon
When torrenting, the entire file is allocated. If you downloaded 2MB of an 8GB file, the entire 8GB would be taken up.
solitude55
Thanks, but all my downloads are complete and the total volume is 10GB approx. Currently i am only seeding all the downloads.
hermanm
WinDirStat (freeware) will tell you what file and/or folders are hogging up the most space:http://lifehacker.com/software/disk-space/geek-to-live--visualize-your-hard-drive-usage-219058.php
Firon
You probably just saved stuff to different folders without realizing it.Click on the various torrents and look at the "Save As" folder.
