BC Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 ok I'm getting the error; socket operation could not be performed because system lacked sufficient buffer space.I saw in the FAQs section that this can be caused by a few things.1. norton go back --- not using so not it2. follow MS link for a registry fix ---next move after this post and hopeful answer3. having net.max_half open set higher than 8 in µtorrent advanced settings. Ok this I have done which gets to the question. the fix for this says use the event patcher to change half open ports ok. My question is: shouldn't this do the job? I have used cablenut to apply the half open port settings as well as other network reg tweaks. it doesn't have to be event patcher does it? I am still getting the error.

Firon Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 Set your halfopen to less than 8 anyway. And um, remove and re-add any fw rules in Kaspersky.
