shoot Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 I have a small problem with my utorrent. Recently I bought a new router (D-link DI-624). Its working fine, I have no problems with it. But every time I start utorrent my internet connection crashes and I have to restart my modem and router. I had no such problems with my old router. Can you please help?
Switeck Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Most D-Link routers cannot handle some of the features that µTorrent has...so those features in µTorrent have to be disabled. (DHT, UPnP, Resolve IPs in particular)Have you tried Ultima's Troubleshooting Guide?:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992Have you changed any of µTorrent's advanced settings? What's the measured speed of your connection, both Down AND UP?What settings are you using, as shown by Speed Guide (CTRL+G)?
shoot Posted October 19, 2007 Author Report Posted October 19, 2007 I have disabled DHT and UPnP features but I cant find where to disable the Resolve IPs feature. My global connections are set to 100, I have tried to set it to 30 but it still doesnt work. Ports are forwarded as they should be, speed is ok. Right now the connection is fine as it was yesterday but then all of a sudden it stops working.
Switeck Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 In the PEERS window, right-click with the mouse and uncheck Resolve IPs.You probably also need to reduce half open connection max in µTorrent's advanced settings to 1-4.
