mowgli123 Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 hi there , firstly i want ot thank all the administrators for this great forum. It helps a lot. so now I wanted to know that if i dont have a router and having port forwarded in my windows firewall, do i need to enable both UPnP port mapping and NAT-PMP port mapping or should i just disable it. this is due to the fact that I cant get a stable downloading speed and the worst part it's really slow. I hace disable DHT Network and disable DHT for new torrent also and i haved unchecked Local peer discovery and have also unchecked limit local peer bandwidth. My net max halfopen is 8 and my speed config. is xx96k\ since i have adsl 512/128k. I have check with my isp and they said they dnt block utorrent or any peer to peer download. I have followed the setup guide step by step for the forth time but still unsuccesfull.Color of the network status light in µTorrent's status bar : greenOperating system installed: windows xp sp2 : already set up EvID4226Patch.exe and its set to 50windows firewall and avg antivirusupload speed is 105 kb/sdownloading speed is 345 kb/sI would really appreciate if some1 cna help me plz.its urgent.thanx ;-)
Switeck Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Have you tried the OpenOffice TEST torrents mentioned in Ultima's Troubleshooting Guide?:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992If they download fast, then the problem's probably only on the torrents you're trying to get.
mowgli123 Posted October 18, 2007 Author Report Posted October 18, 2007 I did try it and its going almost the same speed but wat i really wanted to know if is possible for me to disable both UPnP port mapping and NAT-PMP port mapping since i dont have a router.thanx for replying
Firon Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 It won't make a difference. In any case, your low speeds are ISP related. They are lying to you.
