I've used those open office torrents and the highest speed I get with that is roughly 15 kbps. Normal internet speeds are fine, downloads using firefox range from 150-500kbps depending on the server!
Firon Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 And if you connect directly to your modem?
MrIroh03 Posted October 20, 2007 Author Report Posted October 20, 2007 I don't understand what you mean?
Firon Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 Disconnect the router. Connect your computer directly to the modem. See if it makes a difference.Failing that, it's possible your ISP is the cause.
Switeck Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 MrIroh03,You used "kbps" in every example you listed. Do you mean kilobits/sec or KiloBYTES/sec?
MrIroh03 Posted October 21, 2007 Author Report Posted October 21, 2007 Oh yeah sorry, I've edited it now.I've connected the computer directly to the modem, and still no difference.By the way, a few months ago my torrents used to run perfectly fine with speeds of up to 300 Kilobytes/second, but now they don't go above 5 I've run that TCP Optimizer or whatever it's called - but still no help.
