maree464
Do you have to have to use a static ip address and portforwarding if using a router? I cannot not get the static ip address to work and I have followed the online instructions exact. I can't figure it out......

jhigh700
I have been having problems setting my router (Linksys BEFSR41) V.2.0 so that Utorrent works somewhat easier when downloading torrents. the program says there is a port that won't open. i am new at this so please forgive the question. is there a resource that people like myself who are newbies can go and get their questions answered? anybody who has any input on this please send a response. any help will be appreciated. hermanm
http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/2wire/2700hg/Utorrent.htmWith 2wire, port forwarding is a two step process. You have to first create an "application definition" which would be the port you want forwarded. Then you select your computer name from the drop down list, then add your new "definition" for your computer.
