inv3rt Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Because since a lot of upload speed slows down my internet. i put it at 1/kb.But i wonder, if turning it down, does my download speed go down too?
Invy Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 yes. there's an anti-leecher protection put on in utorrent. you can safely limit your upload to the minimum of 6 KB/sec without throttling your download speed. As an example, if you limit the upload speed to 3 KB/sec, it will limit your download speed to 6 times that, which is 18 KB/sec.You'll know your download is being limited because on the status bar in uTorrent it will say the words "Download Limited".
2good2b Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 yes because peers won't be inclined to stay connected if your client doesn't share. what does a speed test say about your upload speed?
