arrirc Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 HelloI have been trying to download about 7GB of a file (non-copyrighted material) for last few days. Unfortunately the internet connection is giving me a hell lot of trouble. Thats the problem with the ISP, so it will take some time to get resolved. Now in the mean time can I migrate this partially downloaded file to another PC which also have uTorrent (but with more stable connection at present)? So in the new PC uTorrent starts to download where it has left of in my old PC. If yes please tell me how.Thank you.

arrirc Posted October 27, 2007 Author Report Posted October 27, 2007 Hello SwiteckThank you for your reply.I presume that I could not state my problem clearly. Basically I want to transfer a partially downloaded file (by uTorrent) from one PC to another PC which also has uTorrent. These two PC are not and can not be connected via LAN. In this case are you sure that the same method as described in the above link will work?Regards
Firon Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 Yes. Move the data, then load the .torrent on the new PC and point it to the right folder. That's it.
arrirc Posted October 29, 2007 Author Report Posted October 29, 2007 Thank you FironPlease clear my one small doubt:Does the location (ie, location name) of the current saved file in my current PC has to be the same in the new PC?Regards
Firon Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 No, but you can't rename any subfolders.
arrirc Posted October 30, 2007 Author Report Posted October 30, 2007 Thank you Firon.I shall surely post the feedback here after I try to move.
