sean.cartier
Hey Guys,Lately I've been noticing that whenever I start uTorrent it keeps creating a 4226 system error. This error means: TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts. I can't figure out how to fix it. My tcp/ip has been patched to 200 connections and I'm running a windows vista ultimate system. I've even limited the number of connections to 20, and the peers to 10. I've also gone and set the number of max.halfopen connections to 4. Any help you guys could give would be great. I just wanna be able to surf the net and have my torrents work too. Firon
If it's not affecting your performance, ignore it.
Switeck
"My tcp/ip has been patched to 200 connections and I'm running a windows vista ultimate system."It may be the case that the half open connection limit is not successfully patched even though it says it is. The patcher program is not made by Microsoft and is much HATED by Microsoft -- they try to disable it every chance they get.
sean.cartier
If thats the case, can you reccomend a good place to get the proper patch? It's affecting my performance of my torrents as well Firon. I can't seem to establish a proper connection and get even sub-par speeds.
Switeck
There isn't one yet...Microsoft's changing Vista stuff so often that any changes you make get revoked often within a day to a week.As an extreme test, try setting the number of max.halfopen connections to 1. sean.cartier
I just ended up removing it from my laptop and moving all files to an XP SP2 machine. Works fine there.
