Ayrton Senna
All,I searched for troubleshooting with System Mechanic 7 Professional and I came up with one thread that no one responded to. The torrents fail to start because it says that the target machine actively refused a connection or something. System Mechanic Professional comes with the AntiVirus and Personal Firewall. I think the personal firewall is giving me the problems, and I tried to make utorrent the exception to its rules but it still blocks it.Any assistance will be much appreciated. ThanksAyrton
Switeck
µTorrent needs incoming TCP and UDP on the listening port you allowed. It ALSO needs outgoing TCP and UDP on at least ports 1000-5000...possibly more!I think multicast packets are used as well...for something like Local Peer Discovery and/or Resolve IPs and UPnP. Ayrton Senna
Sorry to be stupid, but what does "Resolve IPs and UPnP" mean? I know what you were talking about when you mention the outgoing and incoming TCP and UDP ports. Are there settings in the personal firewall that specifically allow me to "resolve IPs and UPnP"? Thanks for the quick and helpful response Switeck.NEVER MIND I just saw the sticky post on software troubleshooting. If you guys have any specialized knowledge of how to handle System Mechanic, however, this would be much appreciated. Thanks,Ayrton
Firon
I recall SM7's firewall causing crashes. Maybe they fixed it...
