memooo
I used bittorrent client before utorrent and it was bitspirit, and this bitspirit based on uTorrentAnd it has a feature that helped the people who has WAN adapter cause every time when I connect to the internet my IP address changing(Example: My IP 100.125.123.128 : 21212 next time connected---My IP 100.125.163.169 : 21212)and I have to add it manually on my XP firewall every time I restart (of course I can't turn down the firewall if I do that my PC will crash die to hacker attack)In bitspirit it do that automatically every time I start the program---of course utorrent better than bitspirit a lot I mean "A LOT better"So what do you think adding this feature in utorrent?! O.o
Firon
BitSpirit isn't based off utorrent (or vice versa). If your IP changes, it shouldn't matter. And ut already adds itself to the Windows Firewall.
memooo
I'm sorry I meant based on BitComet (my bad)I'm not talking about this I know that it add it self in firewallI'm talking about this (see the picture for more info)http://aycu21.webshots.com/image/32700/2000466179276953710_rs.jpgas you see if it can add it self automatically with the port that will help a lot

Ultima
IP changes do not affect µTorrent unless you forward your port manually from a router. In that case, you were supposed to have set a static LAN IP up in the first place (and as Firon implied earlier, it would still have nothing to do with µTorrent). Switeck
If your router and computer fully supports it, UPnP is supposed to overcome dynamic ip + NAT issues. However speeds should be at least slightly faster using manual port forwarding on the router.
