you_silly_mortals
Hi everybody, I'm new to this forum. I recently obtained a demonoid account but whenever I try to download anything from a demonoid torrent I get an Access Denied error when the first piece finishes downloading. This only happens with private torrents, other torrents work just fine.Looking through the FAQ I can say that:-I don't have google or MSN desktop-I don't have WinZIP quickfind-I don't have two clients open-I'm not viewing the folder in thumbnail mode while downloading-I can't set the files to read only because they never appear in explorer (download halts before the first piece completes). Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? The solution would be greatly appreciated.
TheBear
You could contact Demonoid, as your message indicates that the client works.
you_silly_mortals
I did think of that first but their forums seem to be down since no matter when I try, I get a page telling me that the server is overloaded. Their FAQ is pretty useless too, it says to use a recommended client (which utorrent is) and to follow instructions on the clients web site.Maybe I'll be sending them an email. Firon
It has nothing to do with demonoid.Roxio can do this. Nero Scout too (installed whenever you install Nero).
you_silly_mortals
Well I do have Nero Scout installed. How do I fix this? Is there a way without uninstalling the program?
Ultima
Try killing the process via Task Manager, and stopping it from starting up automatically via Start > Run > msconfig?
