jadedknight
I have tried most of the suggestions on the forums including the guides. My connection dies about 2 minutes after I start my downloads. I also patched my TCP or whatever so that its at 50. (The link was in a guide) Any suggestions? I know my ISP sucks (Rogers). I really need a solution. I have a linksys router, the basic wirless/ethernet one WRT54G. Any help please.
Ultima
First link in my signature regarding interrupted connections. If nothing helps, provide the requested information. And uh, what version WRT54G are you using?
jadedknight
I think V5 but I have the DDRWT soft mod on it. http://www.dd-wrt.comAnother issue is my upload speed, would that just be my ISP? Because Rogers really throttles..
DatenshiSeraphim
did the encryption help?
jadedknight
Hm.. it did not help my connection but I have to do more testing with that. My uploads max out at 10 kb/s
Ultima
Well, uh, as you said, Rogers sucks. I've had a bad experience with DD-WRT (same problems with internet disconnections), but I doubt there's anything you can do about that, since other firmwares aren't available for WRT54G and up. Switeck
Limit all your connections pretty low -- like less than 60, because if you're getting throttled for TOTAL amount each additional connection (even sitting "idle"!) cuts into that amount.Try DHT and Resolve IPs disabled...that should also reduce "overheads" slightly.High half open connection amounts in µTorrent will probably cause the disconnects quicker...so set that only to 1-8. (Test for best results!)
jadedknight
Alright I shall try those more as well Edit: Wow!! The settings I am using with Rogers work!! My upload speed is maxed out thank you so much! I will post screens of my settings for other Rogers users to try out!
