ManBearPig
Hi, I have the newest version of UTorrent running on WinXP SP2, I use a 2Wire Home Portal 1800HG. It appears as though my ports are blocked and thus I am unable to connect. I have fowarded my port to the router and still no success. I have tested the port at http://www.utorrent.com/testport.php but it still shows thats it is blocked. I even tried to access http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ to attempt a connect and got the same error. I have checked and rechecked all of my windows and router firewall settings and can find no explanation for this error. I have included a hijackthis log. hermanm
Do you have multiple ethernet connections by chance? I notice the 2Wire setup is confusing if you have more than one MAC address coming from the same computer or laptop. The reason is that port forwarding is set by computer name and IP address, so it is possible to port forward to the wrong ethernet device (e.g. wireless instead of wired, or vice versa). ManBearPig
I do have multiples, one unconnected onboard lan (disabled in bios), and a 2wire USB Gateway (hooked up directly to router). I did have this system configured with a 2wire wireless card but have since switched to the direct USB connection. I have uninstalled the 2wire wireless software. Unfortunatly I still get the same errors. Is there a program or some method I could use to determine what if any software may be blocking the ports? Here is the post 2wire uninstall HijackThisRunning processes:C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\Ati2evxx.exeC:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVG7\avgamsvr.exeC:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVG7\avgupsvc.exeC:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVG7\avgemc.exeC:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\mscorsvw.exeC:\Program Files\Analog Devices\SoundMAX\SMAgent.exeC:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXEC:\Program Files\Analog Devices\SoundMAX\SMax4PNP.exeC:\Program Files\Analog Devices\SoundMAX\Smax4.exeC:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control Panel\atiptaxx.exeC:\Program Files\Labtec\Mouse\2.1\moffice.exeC:\Program Files\Labtec\Media Keyboard\V5.0\KbdAp32A.exeC:\Program Files\2Wire\2PortalMon.exeC:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVG7\avgcc.exeC:\Program Files\Labtec\Mouse\2.1\MOUSE32A.EXEC:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exeC:\Program Files\uTorrent\uTorrent.exeC:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live\WLLoginProxy.exeC:\Program Files\HijackThis\HijackThis.exeR1 -
