Seeds and Peers

Hi. I've been looking over the FAQ and I can't find any information on Seeds and Peers on the main screen in uTorrent.

By this I mean what do the numbers and the numbers in brackets mean such as:

Seeds Peers

3(97) 0(4)

what does the 3 and 97 mean for seeds and likewise what does 0 and 4 mean for peers.

Do I want to load something that has more peers than seeds or the other way around?
