drmengle Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 I just put a brand new western digital external hard drive on my machine just for torrents. and when I started it up it went vooom all the speeds were incredible for a minute. then it slowed to a crawl. my light was green . and I saw Ionly had like 10 peers. but on the left side of the red/green lite it now says disk overloaded 100% and on the rightside of the lite the upload side it says [ 200 k] and seldom rises above 10 kbs. whats up with that man???
DreadWingKnight Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 USB 1.1 or 2.0 connected?Does the problem persist when saving to an internal drive?
Firon Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 It takes a while to allocate the files, so the disk will overload until it's done. If the drive is connected as USB 1.1, it'll take forever.
