UTorrent slowing down near the end of download

I noticed that when I start UTorrent it goes up with speed to a good value, 100 kB/sec and more, but when I am near the end of downloading it slows down near to zero (2, 3 KB/sec).

If I turn it off and restart, with another DNS, it goes up to high speed again.

Is there any way to avoid this slowing down?

No, it's just how things are. The reason the last pieces are downloaded last is because they're the rarest, which means less people have it (and that it's harder to find sources for -- might be slower). µTorrent attempts to combat this with its end-game mode by requesting the piece from every peer it's connected to, but it might not always work. You're probably getting lucky when you restart everything and try again.
