edsmaffs Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 OK, I'm using uTorrent 1.7. I sometimes get good download speeds up to around 60kb/s, but normally I won't get any download speeds at all! The network symbol has a green tick, I'm using port 443 and I've forwarded it. I can connect to seeds/peers, but I am not receiving any data. ALL of them show the flags "d" and "E". Does anyone know how to fix it? Edit: SORRY, just realised this should be in Speed Section.
Ultima Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Your ISP (Tiscali) has been known to throttle BitTorrent; there probably isn't much you can do about it.
edsmaffs Posted November 25, 2007 Author Report Posted November 25, 2007 Bllaaaa horrible Tiscali. Oh well, thanks anyway.
Switeck Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Get as much speed as you can by wasting less bandwidth on overheads and spend more on downloading and uploading. In some cases, turning off DHT alone can allow some outgoing encrypted connections to avoid being flagged as "file-sharing"...and they get decent speeds.
