tracc
I've got a weird problem since a few weeks. Especial with large downloads. There is a relatively high chance that, if uTorrent says "100%, seeding", the file/files isn't/aren't completely downloaded. I always need to force a re-check to be sure. And most likely there is data missing. Can range from a few kb to, my record, 70 mb.Any ideas? tracc
In case of a hardware damage uTorrent would never be the only application with problems. And "Overzealous media indexer"? The only thing google finds about this is this thread here.
DreadWingKnight
In case of a hardware damage uTorrent would never be the only application with problems.Incorrect. uTorrent will sometimes be the only program that accesses bad parts of ram.Media indexers will sometimes re-tag media files in such a way that it corrupts them. tracc
I check my RAM once upon a time. There arent any "bad parts".At least I dont think memtest skips any parts of the RAM.
Firon
Memtest is not always effective in finding memory defects because of the way it works. It's also possible you have a different problem like a damaged IDE cable, or NVIDIA's super buggy IDE driver. Switeck
You may have a media player that reformats MP3 tags in both audio and video files...which will screw up completed downloads!
