SLdK Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Okay guys, I have tried looking everywhere on the internet for possible solutions for my problem but I have failed to find one. So as my last resort i will go to the people here for some help. Thank you for your time.Okay, my NAT was not always closed/red. It used to be green about a month ago and then it because red out of nowhere. I don't believe anything from my own doings have caused this to happen but I now I primarily get reds although once in awhile I will get a random green. okay. I have set up a static IP on my computer.I have turned off uPnP on my router and uTorrent.I have my port forwarded correctly on the router. The port itself is 39580I have no firewalls running that could interfere. I have tried resetting everything already and a different torrent client brings about the same result. My router is a Netgear WGT624v3I would appreciate much help people. Thank you
Switeck Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Virus or spyware infection can create strange firewall conditions.Have you tried seeing if anyone could connect to your computer AT ALL from somewhere else on the internet? (I mean besides just for µTorrent.)
SLdK Posted November 26, 2007 Author Report Posted November 26, 2007 I just did a clean scan of my computer and cleaned out everything yet still no good. And with that second question, yes I've been able to make direct transfers with people via AIM.
Switeck Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 I think AIM connects through a central server so you can still be firewalled and use it.Did your scans include scanning using Process Explorer and/or HijackThis?
SLdK Posted November 27, 2007 Author Report Posted November 27, 2007 Yes sir, it was fine. I also did scans with BitDefender and Spybot and got rid of all that as well.---1/22/08I forgot that this thread existed.Yet my problem still exists. Help anyone?
