problem with port forwarding

so im running on a Linksys Wireless router (WRT54G V2) and i always have the little yellow triangle and when i test the port, it appears to not be open.

So when i log into the Linksys control panel by typing in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and logging in, i go to the applications and gaming tab which leads me to port forwarding.

In utorrent, i set the current port/port used for incoming connections to: "35788"

Then in the port forward page in my internet browser, here is how i set it.

Application: Utor1

Start: 35788

End: 35788

Ip Address: 192.168.1.101

Enable: Checked

**my brother says to get the ip address by going to start>run>type in cmd and press enter>type in ipconfig>look for where it says ip address and put that in the box with the enable option checked

i waited a couple minutes and tested the port and still not open.

What do i do???

You need to set your computer up to have a static IP outside of the router's DHCP range (which should be 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.149 by default).
