furreee
This is the error message I get for a torrent I am 80.7% through downloading. I don't know what to recheck; it says in the general tab the DHT status is inactive, 138MB (183 hashfails); a lot and unusual for my downloads, and 0 out of 0 seeds and peers are connected. The logger showed several banned ip's at the same time as a lot of the hashfails, this happened several times during the day, if that is significant. The files section shows lots of purple bands with red stripes on. I am fairly new to downloads et all and only write what I see.My internet connection was also messed up and I had to reboot my router to restore it. Please, can someone help and tell me how to complete this download, or even if it is possible.

furreee
You are right; the files have been changed and are not missing. I believe it is windows media player. It monitors my DL folder for new media and when I ask it to search for and add new media, this is when the torrent errors start appearing. I have tried it out several times now so am pretty sure of the cause. windows media player must alter some files in a way that makes them unrecogniseable by the μtorrent software, the meta services part for finding and updating media info is a strong candidate for the job I think. My temporary solution is to not turn on windows media player. My long term solution is to stop windows media player monitoring my DL folder and when my DL's have seeded enough (2 to 3) I will move them to another folder and remove the torrent from the μtorrent software. windows media player can do with them what it likes after that.Thankyou for helping me with this, I wish I had worked it out a couple of months ago; would have saved me a whole lot of deleting/removing torrents/files etc because I thought they were broken. Please tell me what you mean 'post a hijackthis log'
