I have a problem . I was dowloading files with the utorrent, when my electricity goes off. When light came back ,I restarted the computer, it first scans or checks the drives (Windows XP) , it makes some chandes to uncomplete torrent files , delete some files and save some files at a location I can't find. When Winows starts , I started utorrrent and its all blank , all the torrent files have disappeared. So I went to undo changes ckeckdisk or scandisk made. I go to Documents and Settings , User , Application Data , uTorrent . In this folder I find all the torrent files (Not data files) , also I found three files whose extension were added with .old at the end (dht.dat.old, resume.dat.old, settings.dat.old) replacing them with files of same names. So I cut paste all these files (new and old) to new folder. Then I copy paste the files (3) with .old extension to torrent folder and remove the .old extension. When I started utorrent , it was still blank, when I close it off , same .old file appeared in the utorrent folder .

Then as a last try , I use the System Restore utility to go to 1 day back . when my system is restored to that date . I started utorrent again but to no avail , it was still empty. So undo my last system restoration and go back to where I started. I am in deep worry , I have been downloading these files for months and I can't start over.

Anyone Please help me to restore utorrent files.

If you still have the .torrent files, reload them again in uTorrent and point them to the same location as where they were downloading earlier (and where the partially downloaded files should still be sitting).

Then right-click each one and force recheck (yes, it's the same option). Once the rechecking is done, you can basically continue downloading from where you left off, minus a bit of data loss due to your crash perhaps.

Actually I had done this before your reply but thanks. the fact is that once i had reloaded the torrents ,they are fine but they seem to lost their old record or cache of aspect ratio . I think without that my downloads will be slower.

I think you mean just ratio, not aspect ratio.

Also, re. your downloads being slower, it depends... You do have data to share so peers might not be unwilling to connect and you might therefore get good speeds as before.
