Homer23
Hey guys, everytime i use Utorrent, the connection is good the program works fine, but after a little while my computer freezes completely and i have to reboot. But this problem only occurs when i'm using Utorrent. Right now as i'm writing this i'm using Bitlord, and everythings allright, but the speed is really slow on that program. I'm using Norton Anti-Virus, maybe this is the problem, but frankly I don't know cause i'm not too much of a genius when it comes to computers. And could this be because i'm downloading a large file that is at least 29GB???? It freezes completely, I can't use my mouse or do anything so that's why I have to reboot.I really want a solution to this problem cause I really like Utorrent!! Please help!!!Dell Dimension 9150P4 Core Duo 3.0GHZ3.5GB RAM250 HDGeForce 7300 LE

Ultima
Hard to know who the possible culprits are. Try uninstalling Ahead Nero. If that doesn't help, try uninstalling Symantec NIS. There are some other processes I'm unfamiliar with, but uh... just go with those two for now.
Firon
I highly doubt it's Nero. You got a router?
callous
It is also freezing up for me. I moved from 1.6.1 with no problems, to 1.7.5 2 days ago to find this problem.I have patched tcpip file to 135 half opened connections, and in utorrent forced it to 120. I have just checked and the tcpip file is still patched for 135.It has frozen up my system twice so far, on 2 consecutive nights. I suspect it has to do with powersavings, and it only freezes up only when the system partially powers down the videoIm using the P35-DS3R Gigabyte motherboard and latest drivers from Giga's site. What are the diagnostic steps you recommend to troubleshoot this? DreadWingKnight
Why are you telling uTorrent to try 120 halfopen connections?Where's your hijackthis log?
Firon
I have that same board. I've had one or two BSODs with BUGCODE_NDIS_DRIVER. I think the network drivers for Gigabyte's P35 boards are buggy.
