jacko157 Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 I am using Vista and have been attempting to get WebUI to work. I've tried Vista Sidebar Gadget and the Firefox utorrent add-on. I followed the setup instructions and placed the webui.zip file in the %AppData%\uTorrent folder with out unzipping it. Oddly in my Vista the actual path that comes up is a little different:C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Roaming\uTorrentThe settings file(s) reside in this folder and I cannot find another location where they are. I am assuming this should be fine since the files are there?I have tried both the latest version 1.75 and the one that came with the release for WebUI download. Following many of the suggestions here at this forum I have also ensured that the file was "not" unzipped. I have also ensured that the file was not the *.rar file renamed to *.zip. I have also attempted using different ports as well. In addition I've attempted several url combinations I've seen at this forum. I.e. http:\\localhost:8080/gui, http:\\localhost:8080\gui\index.html..... etc...However when I access the url: http://127.0.0.1:8080/gui from Firefox 2.0 I get the following:The device does not recognize the command. The Vista SideBar Gadget continues to remain empty as well.Does anyone know what this means? Perhaps someone has seen it?
Firon Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 did you actually enable the webui? it's also possible something is taking port 8080 (which means you need to use a different port for the webui).
jewelisheaven Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 http://user:pass@localhost:port/gui/Try that first. Then mess around with alternate ports etc. Also did you restrict access to something not "127.0.0.1, 192.168.0.0/24" (or whatever your private networking address is)
