My dad messed with my modem when the internet stopped working, and now my uTorrent stops working, as in it won't connect to any peers. It was just fine the day before, and just stopped working after my dad went through customer support for the modem.

Your modem functions as a router, which means you're double-NATted. You're going to have to go through the advanced port forwarding guide in the second link in my signature.
