akaidiot Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 I often use Delete .torrent + Data and I have noticed that I often end up with empty folders. The Only thing left in the folders is the Thumbs.db file that Windows has created. Every other client I have used have deleted to folder including the Windows created Thumbs.db file so if not making this default I think uTorrent should have complete deletion of folder as an option.
akaidiot Posted December 4, 2005 Author Report Posted December 4, 2005 Ok, if it's not a bug I guess it's a feature request. All I ask for is for it to be a option to make "delete .torrent + Data" to delete everything in the folder that the uTorrent created when downloading the torrent.
Firon Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 That's why I moved it to Feature Requests. It doesn't sound like a bad idea, but you'd have to be very careful of deleting other files that you DO want in the same folder.
Miffo Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 No..If folder is not empty, do not delete. Very simple
hofshi Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Why being negative? all that is suggested here is to have an option to delete the whole directory. this is not mandatory.
chaosblade Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 He's being negative because he dislikes the feature ? Spell it out with it, 'Opinions' I do agree, to an extent. If uTorrent created it, it should delete it. That COULD cause problems if other files are in that folder (not useless .db files or stuff like that), but those are PEBKAC problems to begin with ;]
