Kendo1966 Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Whenever i exit from UT 1.7.5. it stays in memory (i have to use task manager to exit), then when it is restarted it does a file check on each torrent - this is a pain as one of the torrents is nearly 50gigs in size!Whats happening?
Firon Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Don't kill the task. Let it close itself.
godo52 Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I am having the same problem....most times ( I do follow the correct procedure for closing UT175 down) it works but occasionally it does a file check when I restart...But every time I reboot it does a complete file check.....This was not the case in versions prior to UT175...Any solution? The other issue is that after closing down UT175 correctly it is often still running and I cannot restart it...This forces me to close it with the task manager which prompts a complete file check again>>>>
jewelisheaven Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 When you force kill a process don't get angry it wants to verify the actively open files when you killed it.The option bt.graceful_shutdown = TRUE under Ctrl-P Advanced allows uT to stay open AS LONG AS IS NEEDED to finish up active tasks, tracker requests, file dump.Again, force killing the utorrent process does not help your situation. It only exascerbates it.
