applause Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I am recieving a message "Disk overloaded 100%" in the bar at the bottom of the utorrent page. My hard drive is nowhere full can anyone help with what the problem might be?
Switeck Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 That means the disk is trying to access too quickly (probably from reverting to PIO mode due to windows crashes). The disk can't keep up with µTorrent's requests, and you get that message.
jewelisheaven Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 If you are worried about this affecting hard drive lifespan, you can try Ctrl-P -> Advanced -> Disk Cache -> Increase cache when hard drive thrashing" option.
yourpcguy Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 that worked jewelits an old pc with a slow hd.
Ultima Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 Might also want to disable immediate write to disk on piece completion if it isn't already unchecked. It would be easier if you posted a screenshot of the Disk Cache page.
