Hersha Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I'm currently writing a widget for Netvibes to allow your to interact with UTorrents WebUI. It is written using their UWA standard and will work with a variety of different programs. (iGoogle, Apple Dashboard, Vista Sidebar, Opera, and Windows Live.) Right now I am awaiting approval from Netvibes to get it posted in their widget catalog. I'll post a direct link to it once it gets approved. Here a preview image of what it looks likeRight now all it can do is pull your current torrents and their % done but I am working on adding more functionality as I type such as adding and removing torrents.
jewelisheaven Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Interesting, interesting and totally cool.I was just looking at that awesome fansub anime Also I just checked out netvibes since I had no idea prior of its existence. This is what I like, given a set interface, others expand upon it for various platforms, the FlashUI, the iPhone WebUI, and widgets like this make it a snap to at the very least check up on your active downloads. Very nice addition to the mobile user's toolkit.
Hersha Posted December 16, 2007 Author Report Posted December 16, 2007 If you would like to use the widget now you can.It hasnt been approved by netvibes yet so its not in their catalog. But heres a link that will get it working on netvibes or google.http://www.neffergy.com/widget.htmlOnce netvibes approves it you will be able to add it to the other widget programs i listed. Also I'm very close to rolling out add remove torrent functionality but I need to figure out how to handle removing the torrents since they dont allow inline onclick events. Adding may come sooner than removing.
jewelisheaven Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 Erm, I don't want to say it doesn't work, but it doesn't work in my setup.i'm not sure where the problem would be. I tried it on that loader page with my settings. I also tried it added to igoogle homepage. My settings entered don't seem to get past "loading".Which external IP do I need to add so it can request the data?Edit:I added the google.com domain IP to my allow for webui. I also checked the GUI logger tab and saw it doesn't seem to be requesting a password??
Hersha Posted December 16, 2007 Author Report Posted December 16, 2007 hmmm i havent tried it with ip blocking yet. It looks like you need to allow 193.189.143.* if you can do a wildcard like that im not sure. also the username and pass are sent like this http://user:pass@ipaddress:port/gui/let me see if i can get it to work with blocking on ill let you know.Edit:put 193.189.143.0/24 in the range. forgot i was using a reverse proxy here and never actually tested normal UI access. this address range could change so check whats getting blocked in your logger if you still cant access.
jewelisheaven Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 Ahh so it's the www.netvibes.com domain which is being pinged ping www.netvibes.comPinging netvibes.com [193.189.143.249] with 32 bytes of data:Well I'm going to try it without IP restriction.. and I'll report back.Note: should the loader page you provided work? Or will it only work when added to the respective pages.Edit: Including the range works; That returns the list of torrents. However trying it with no IP restriction does not work. This picture is from Firefox 2 on the loader page. I like the layout But can you keep it within the box?How often does it ping the webUI?
greenfort1 Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 seems the files does not existed any more
