utorrentroxx
Hi,dont know which would be the right forum, so I hope it`s ok to post it here.I have been checking my downloads a couple of times during the last 2-3 hours and I noticed one certain IP that I was (and am) downloading from. In the peers list this IP is listed as % = 0.0, even though I am only downloading from it, and havent uploaded even one byte. The "downloaded" stats say that I have recieved 45.5MB from this IP, which is certainly more than 0.0% (the whole file is less that 1GB) and "uploaded" 0 (the column is empty). Can anyone explain this? (sorry if it`s a noobish question)
Ultima
What is the availability for the torrent? How many hash fails and/or wasted data does the General tab show for the torrent?
utorrentroxx
Availability: 0.893 (weird as well, because I am downloading all the files and have 89.9% done)Wasted: 493 MB (8 hashfails)
Ultima
What client is the peer using? What is the seed count for the swarm? Chances are, the torrent's dead, or the guy's an initial seeder (and possibly, the peer is using a client with a bad initial seeding algorithm). utorrentroxx
Sorry, just saw that I made a mistake in the filesize, the whole file is 7GB... but since I have downloaded 45.5MB from this IP is it`s still more than 0.0% (about 0.5%), even if that`s all he got.Seeds: 0 of 1 connected (1 in swarm)He/she is using utorrent 1.7.
Ultima
So uh, the peer probably is using initial seeding (so he might have 100% of the data, but just isn't telling you he has them all -- as per the way initial seeding works). How many peers are in the swarm?
