% uploaded to peers going down?

I am seeding an initial torrent (one that I created) and am the only seeder of it. It also shows lots of peers connected. My question is that in the "%" column under the "Peers" tab, this is how much of the torrent is uploaded to a peer (as in 100% = peer is now a seeder), correct? Also, sometimes this percentage number goes down, which doesn't make sense. So can someone tell me if my assumption is correct, and why the percentage number sometimes goes down? Thanks for replies.

% done is the cumulative total that specific peer reports to HAVE.

Reasons the % goes down:

BAD HAVE

HASHFAIL

hostile peer

You are correct having 100% means you are a seed. Note however to OTHERS you as an initial-seed appear as 0% because of the way the protocol works.

Often, initial seeders even appear as having a tiny percentage...especially if they've been continuously connected to you. But they can go backwards as I understand it...and they try to hide the "common" stuff so peers can/will only try to download the rare pieces (that no one else has) off them.

Well now in the "%" column on the "peers" tab for that torrent it has percentage values as high as 99.8, but seems to not go up any higher. I'm waiting for at least one peer to hit 100% but none seem to be going any further. Also, under the "Seeds" column in the main window, it says that I have 153 seeds for the number in parenthesis but zero for the number not in parenthesis. And on the main tracker website (thepiratebay.org) it shows that there are 108 seeders and about 30 leechers for my torrent. Does that mean that I should stop initial-seeding and that there are enough seeders so that I can delete the file if I want? And can someone answer why the percentage number isn't going any higher than 99.8%? Thanks a lot.

When another peer becomes a seed they will automatically disconnect from you.

You may see (in)frequent connections from peers @ 0.0% who then disconnect. These are probably other initial-seeders seeing/recognizing you as a seed.
