mockingbird Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 Hi, I'm at a loss and need serious help. I run a windows vista operating system, brand new laptop, a 1,100 dollar hp. I recently downloaded utorrent. After the instalation of utorrent, the little box popped up that says "utorrent is not your default program for opening torrents. Would you like it to be the default?" I, of course, clicked yes figuring it would do no harm. Here's my problem .... not only are my torrent files opening through utorrent, but also my exe. files. my actual programs are trying to open as torrents! After this I freaked out and I removed the utorrent program from my computer, and restarted my machine. My computer wouldn't even start up! Somehow I managed to get the start-up program working, but nothing quite else. Now when I open up a program and exe. file, I get an "open with" box. windows cannot recognize the exe file?!?! I never downloaded anything with utorrent. Help me get my computer back. I am a student and I need a solution before the end of christmas break. So if you could respond someway, anyway to help please do.thank you, steven
