uTorrent Won't download anything

I have baught a new pc with VISTA windows. I have used uTorrent before and it has worked on previous occasions. It will not download any torrent that I find. Can you help me please.

Ok looking at that picture it appears no connections are being made at all.

Is the port you are using in-use? Under "Logging" tab do you see any error messages?

Are your ports still forwarded properly? What firewall are you using?

i have AVG and windows firewall. I turn off firewall and it still will not work. I have tried several files to download but none will

Have you created a rule to exclude uTorrent from being blocked by AVG?

What about port-forwarding? What does the port test (Ctrl+G) say? What modem/router do you have anyway? You could have a hardware firewall that's blocking your connections.

Check this thread (http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992) for more... Esp. try the OpenOffice torrents and tell us the result.
