pstein
When I start a download then at first the full size of the download file is pre-allocated on my hard disc.Is there a way to enable a step-by-step-allocation on-demand ?
jewelisheaven
If the volume is NTFS enable sparse files. Also pre-allocation is only done at the beginning if Ctrl-P -> Downloads -> Pre-allocate.. is setCtrl-P -> Advanced -> diskio.sparse_files is where you find the other option
pstein
I disabled already "Pre-allocate files" but they ARE pre-allocated!!So what sense makes this this option ?Furthermore: assume I have currently 5 torrents downloading. If I switch now your second option "diskio.sparse_files" to "yes" are these current download pre-allocated files then getting corrupted or are they automatically converted to sparse files ?
