benignoh Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Ok My problem is that my speed wont go faster than 20-30kb/s, I already check the speed guide. My upload and downloads are set to unlimited. My uploads are always faster than my downloads. I also try some youtube video on tweaking Utorrent for speed a didnt work. Please help!!!
Switeck Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Speed Guide (CTRL+G) in uTorrent needs to be set based on your max upload bandwidth in kilobits/sec or megabits/sec.Do note your upload speed max is probably a TINY fraction of your download speed max!
benignoh Posted December 19, 2007 Author Report Posted December 19, 2007 My upload speed is between 360-400kb/s and now is set correctly to 384k in the SpeedGuide! What else can I do to help raise my downloads to a decent speed?ThanksBenny
jewelisheaven Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Testing and verifying you can get near max-throughput on http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ is a first step to ensure your Ctrl-G settings are sufficient. In general people configure their p2p / torrent clients to hold a) too many active torrents too many upload slots c) too many peer connections. All of these degrade performance.
benignoh Posted December 20, 2007 Author Report Posted December 20, 2007 I just try downloading open office and the best speed I was getting was between 10kb and 45kb.What should I do?
Ultima Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 http://www.testmy.net/t-19127Seems like your ISP is throttling.
benignoh Posted December 20, 2007 Author Report Posted December 20, 2007 What does that mean?Is onelinkpr.com restricting my downloadspeed?
