download file error

the problem is when i click 'download torrent' on a site and the task arrived in my utorrent, it is still in downloading status but when i right-click my mouse and select 'open containing folder', i cannot find the file in that specific place. even after i edited the preference to place new download in a new empty folder, i still can't find any downloading file in there but in utorrent the task is still in downloading status. help is appreciated..

Hmm. If you click on the torrent in the torrent pane, and in the General tab of the lower pane, what is shown there for the location? Does that location MATCH the folder opened when you say "open containing folder"?

Please note the "Save downloads in..." option only works for NEW torrents. Previously entered torrents' locations are already saved in your resume.dat.

Yes, the option only applies to new torrents. Anything added before the fact (even if you haven't started it) will be in the old location.
