ws8rm Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 My uTorrent keeps messing up my "settings" for folders/speeds/port number etc.It would be nice if the settings could be saved --- then restored if needed so I don't have to keep changing them back.I've done the copy thing in the user/app/utorrent folder, but it would be a lot easier if the program had the feature.thanks
jewelisheaven Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 Are you sure it would be easier? Another user mentioned this problem here and I shared my method. Personally I feel everything the user would want to do they should be able to control, and not specified by a program. The process can be further automated if you create a profile for your backups with set filename/dir path/compression settings/etc and even one-click if you set said profile to default.I use WinRAR but I'm sure you can do the same procedure with other archival programs.Edit: I forgot to mention Ultima's sexy bencoded file editor (linked below). If your resume.dat is .BAD instead, you can try loading it into the editor and looking at it to see if you see what's wrong. (If you edit it, be sure to remove .FILEGUARD. If you don't when uT starts up again it will auto-rename back to .BAD)
