Torrents won't come out of "inactive".

Hey! I'm having some trouble with uTorrent... um, when I try to download stuff it'll sometimes just go to inactive and stay there, even though it says it's "downloading".

Like for instance, I'm downloading three seperate things, but only one of them is getting anywhere, everything else is just staying at 0.0%

Sorry if this is something really obvious, I'm not the greatest at software-y stuff.

Are you highlighting the "Inactive" category (Press F7 once or twice or three times to show it)? Also do you mean the text shown under the "status" column in the main torrent pane?

If you are instead seeing "Queued" in status, that is the work of your Ctrl-G AND / OR Ctrl-P -> Queueing settings. If you only have one torrent set to download at once this is normal behaviour. If you want to do more concurrently, try the "Setting up your Connection" guide on the Guides page (linked below).

OK. Well If the status is downloading but they are still under "inactive" versus "active" it means there is no activity on them (< 1.0 KiBps throughput). Are the torrents showing tracker scrape OK under Tracker status (general tab)? Have you received peerlists and are connected to peers and seeds for the torrent?

Inactive/Active/Downloading/Complete are basically a fast way to look at only specific subsets of your torrents. If you get traffic on the torrent it will move from downloading/inactive to downloading/active.

Does that help?
