basstracks
I searched and read all over the place, I setup utorrent, my verizon dsl modem/router correctly and had port forwarding working fine, great speeds, but I left the port setup as the one described in the example i read in the setup on portforwarding.com, I think it was 6112 or something like that. However, I also read in the online manual/faq for utorrent, that you should not use that port number. My question is, what is the best port number to use with utorrent, for port forwarding? jewelisheaven
Whatever you want it to be... truth-be-told. It is not wise to use an assigned service port ( < 1024)... though on hopelessly firewalled connections I have seen people bind to port 80...As long as your firewall lets the port through it doesn't matter really.
