sasuyasha
Hi, i have windows vista ultimate and a static ip address, and my utorrent connection is working properly, but my internet connection goes crazy everytime i run it, because sometimes it says that i'm not connected to the internet, then after a few minutes it says that i am connected to the internet, other times it says that i only have limited connectivity...oh yea my router is a Linksys model BEFSR41, even though i don't think that's causing the problem...... anyways can somebody help me with this? please and thank you. jewelisheaven
If you don't mind would you upload a picture of your Ctrl-G settings please (Alt-Print Screen i.e. only the active window will do). I have a sneaking suspicion that you are overloading your connection.
Switeck
That old router can't handle huge numbers of connections.Maybe 100 tops...and probably no more than 8 half open connections. What did you have µTorrent set to?
sasuyasha
hey jewelisheaven how do i paste the picture of my active window? and switeck, what do you mean by 100 tops and no more of 8 half open connection? thanks...
jewelisheaven
OK, so you took the picture, and saved it into a program (I use mspaint). From there, you can go to any free picture hosting service (I use http://imageshack.us and I have seen people use http://tinypic.com ). After you upload there may be a "forum" code you copy... it is usually URL OF YOUR PICTURE OR you can just paste the direct link into the thread ( http:// my image link .jpg )As far as what Switeck was talking about *IN µTorrent* Ctrl-P -> BitTorrent -> Max number of connections. and Ctrl-P -> Advanced -> net.max_halfopen

Ultima
Read the Speed Guide's instructions again. It does not say to select your download speed.
