tadika Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 My torrents will not download (or upload). I get this message after "Tracker Status:" label in "General" tab: "A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket was disconnected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a sendto call) no address was supplied."Does anyone have a clue what is this and how to fix it?! Thanks
ajones81 Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 Sounds like a network error. What sort of connection do you have? Wireless?
jewelisheaven Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 Have you looked at these entries in the FAQ to see if they help?http://utorrent.com/faq.php#My.C2.B5Torrent_keeps_freezing_on_certain_trackershttp://utorrent.com/faq.php#I_get_a_socket_buffer_space_error_and_the_client_halts
tadika Posted December 24, 2007 Author Report Posted December 24, 2007 @ajones81Yep, and I think I've found prove. Btw, I have ADSL.@jewelishheavenI've looked at the FAQ before posting here. I'm not using BitDefender of Norton GoBack so that's not the problem. I'm using NetLimiter and Kasperskey Internet Security for some time and all was well.In the meantime I've found on MSDN that the message I'm getting is an error message from some windows network function or so. It seams that this is not an uTorrent bug but some network error and that uTorrent just forwards the message. It is interesting that while all new torrents I try to activate produce this message, my old already active torrents were downloading just fine?! Also, in the meantime I've realized that Last.fm software also won't work. Error message I get there is that their servers are too busy at the moment and to try later.. witch is not true, and probably has also to do with this. All the time my browser is working just fine. I'll try to seek for help on some windows networking forums. Thanks for help folks!
jewelisheaven Posted December 24, 2007 Report Posted December 24, 2007 If you download, run, and paste a HiJackThis log, there may be an incompatibility noticed since the FAQ was updated...First I'd try uninstalling Netlimiter, reference post and see if it persists.
