Starting uTorrent freezes system

Hi, I've been using uTorrent just fine for a few months, but now when I try start the program the whole system freezes & I have to pull the plug. It only gets as far as the icon appearing in the system tray.

Any ideas?

System:-

Win XP SP2

AMD Turion64 1.58GHz

2GB RAM

AVG Antivirus

Zonealarm Firewall

ETA: I've already tried reinstalling uTorrent.

Zone Alarm and AVG may be conflicting with µTorrent.

But to rule out other possibilities first, have you run Process Explorer and/or HijackThis! and look for stuff your antivirus missed?

Have you deleted µTorrent's old .DAT configuration files that it probably left behind from a previous install?

It's Zone Alarm. Worst AV in existence.
