serados Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 This problem happened suddenly when I turned on the PC this morning. It's been more than 12 hours since then, and there was nothing on this on local forums, so I doubt it's a problem with my ISP. uTorrent worked fine the previous day and I have not adjusted any settings. TCPIP.sys is set to 50 as per the patch (double-checked).While I can see peers and seeds, I'm not connecting normally to any of them; it's something like 1 (49) or 9 (60) or some low number like that. Speeds are at 0.0 DL most of the time, occasionally it moves to something like 1kb/s, upload reached 20+kb/s before, rather consistently, on some seeding torrents. This lack of connections happens for all torrents, even the OpenOffice ones. If this helps, I'm on a maximum of 3 active torrents, and uTorrent starts up the queued torrents after a while so I see a whole line of "Seeding"s and "Downloading"s.Internet connection is working fine, disabling Windows Firewall doesn't affect the situation. Status bar is green, no errors in the log... I have no idea what is going on at all.
DreadWingKnight Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 Singapore ISPs have been known to interfere with bittorrent communications in many different ways.Have you been through the connection troubleshooting guide yet?
serados Posted December 26, 2007 Author Report Posted December 26, 2007 It could have been some one-off glitch, but after a random disconnect it works fine again. Weird problem, that. Thanks for your help, this can be considered resolved.
