Carshumptidu Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 I recently came across a problem with utorrent on my vista laptop where it would suck up all my memory and a search said that developers were interested in trying to fix the problem but could not reproduce it. I did a little bit of uniformed experimenting and all I can say is that it is torrent specific. It occurs only when a specific torrent has started and other torrents download fine. The one that is bugging me is this one (it's legal). http://torrents.vugames.com/fearcombat_en_107.exe.torrentJust a regular computer user giving some input; I hope you guys can fix this problem. Thanks!
jewelisheaven Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 Most of the fixes have been to remove programs which hooked into / are reading uTorrent's process when they really don't need to be. It's usually that or you are experiencing increased memory usage due to high download speeds which are causing windows to fill its buffer before dumping to disk (at which point memory frees, and data transfer temporarily stops).
