Red 'Not Connectable' Icon but no real issues

Hi all,

Just switched to uTorrent after using ABC for a few years and so far am very impressed except for one little niggle.

As soon as i load up i get the yellow warning triangle followed by the red circle. I've tried everything recommended and have opened the relevant port, set my firewall to allow all traffic and have got my static IP address but still no green light. The port test still shows that my port is not open even after following successfully the guide at Portforward.com.

The problem/or not is i have no issues with downloads or uploads - i have a 20mb connection and when downloading a healthy torrent i get full upload and download speeds - should i worry about the warning lights or not?

Have you checked to see that your modem doesn't have a firewall and/or mini-router that you need to configure or disable?

Also, is there any antivirus/antispyware software on your computer?

Many such programs now contain "internet protection" which is really just a software firewall that you need to configure or disable.
