ajones81
Hmm... Some problem with naming perhaps? Not sure as I've never used any translation till date...Anyway, the file's OK (I guess). Just rename dl.php (~469 KB) to something like Lang.zip and extract with your favourite program. Kindly confirm if the contents are what you expect?
aviramof
lang.zip doesn't work bro yes i get one big file full of txt translation files but extracting it doesn't help because the softwere doesn't recognize the extracted file and there for doesn't use it or automaticly choose the translation file i'v tried renaming it to lang.lng but it doesn't seem to work.edit:well i'v finally fixed it i'v renamed the file to utorrent.lng as it should be i guess but still it took one or two times of restarting utorrent in order for the softwere to recognized it and i had to choose the languge manually meaning the softwere did not recognized the windows languges automaticly like it ususally but thets all right.and as for the link itself i still think someone need to fix it so it would automaticly be utorrent.lngand not dl.php:)
ajones81
Yep. After replying to your post I fiddled with the thing a bit 'cos I've never used it before (never even needed it as I'm using the default English on an English ver. of XP).Anyway, as I told this user here (http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=293206#p293206), the file does need to be named utorrent.lng even though it's actually a .ZIP file. Glad you figured it out though and yes, that link needs to be set right as well. Hope the admins have a look at this thread soon...
DreadWingKnight
No the link doesn't need to be set right, your browser is ignoring the content-disposition header when it shouldn't.
ajones81
Huh? Ok DWK, any idea at all how we should set that right? I'm using IE6 on XP SP2. How about a direct link to the file instead so it doesn't confuse others with the same problem?
DreadWingKnight
How to set it right? Use a browser that complies with HTTP standards and protocols. The only 2 products I know of that ignore the header are wget and internet explorer. ajones81
Oh well, off to Firefox for downloading uTorrent translation packs in the future, I guess! Though I still don't understand why not a direct link such as for the program and its help file?
DreadWingKnight
This permits the language pack to be dynamically generated.
Firon
IE6 is extremely broken.
