dave123 Posted January 5, 2008 Report Posted January 5, 2008 I am relatively new to P2P using UTorrent.I have downloaded 1 file at about 150kB/s (max 240kB/s) which was fine, but I am now experiencing speeds of around 9kB/s even at night. The network indicator is yellow as it has always been. The port has been forwarded correctly and I have followed just about all the steps in the forums.I also know my download speed is correct. Can you please help????
jewelisheaven Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 Can you try with your current settings on http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ or http://www.slackware.com/torrents/ ? You only need to run them for 2-5 minutes to see if you still see the sustained speeds. If not, your ISP may have put you onto a limited rate plan due to download usage or upload usage. Following through Ultima's How-To for Troubleshooting may help.If not, feel free to post what it asks for below so someone else can take a look at it.
Switeck Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 I've heard Tiscali ISP has started throttling BitTorrent traffic. You wouldn't happen to be on that awful ISP?
